Position Purpose: an origination-focused contract role responsible for bringing new supply and new buyers to the business through existing industry relationships, and for building the structure around that flow — a managed pipeline, consistent communication across traders and third parties, and complete client onboarding.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

  • Origination. Leverage existing relationships to introduce new supply sources and new buyers, and see each transaction through from introduction to booked trade.  Coordinate with team around attendance of industry conferences and events.
  • Pipeline management. Build and maintain a live pipeline of new opportunities and flows; drive follow-up on newer or harder opportunities that existing customer service work tends to crowd out.
  • Coordination and liaison. Act as the connection point between traders, clients, and third parties — primarily commodity brokers and consultants — keeping communication consistent and accountability clear.
  • Client onboarding. Own onboarding and credit-limit setup for new business, ensuring risk standards are met and removing that administrative burden from the trading desk.
  • Programmatic relationships. Support the development of recurring, structured relationships and channel partnerships rather than one-off transactions.
  • Cross-market coordination. Help organize and maintain accountability across external opportunities spanning multiple regions and internal teams.

SCOPE & BOUNDARIES

  • Focus is on newly originated business and third-party/broker opportunities. This role does not take over traders' established long-term relationships and flows.
  • No management responsibility, direct reports, or supervisory authority over the trading team.
  • Trade-level economics, credit decisions, and risk appetite remain with the responsible trader.
