Within our Investment Grade Credit Trading team, we provide liquidity and execution to institutional clients in the IG corporate bond market. You’ll work alongside traders and sales to make markets, manage inventory, and deliver timely market color—using industry-standard trading and market data tools to support high-quality pricing and risk management.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-accountability trading environment where attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong analytics matter. You’ll contribute to daily desk workflows including run production, axes and inventories, relative-value monitoring, execution support, and post-trade coordination—while developing a deep understanding of market structure, liquidity, and risk in investment grade credit.

Responsibilities

Job purpose:

Support the IG Corporate Credit trading desk in pricing, executing, and managing risk in investment grade corporate bonds. The associate partners closely with traders, sales, and operations to facilitate client flow, ensure accurate risk/P&L reporting and trade capture, and deliver high-quality market intelligence to internal stakeholders and counterparties.

 

Responsibilities:

· Support day-to-day sell-side trading workflow in IG corporate bonds: monitor markets, maintain runs, and update axes/inventory for distribution

· Assist with client facilitation by supporting RFQ pricing and execution across electronic and voice channels

· Ensure timely, accurate trade capture, booking, and allocations; partner with operations to resolve exceptions quickly

· Perform relative-value and spread analysis (curves, comparables, sector moves) to inform pricing, positioning, and trade ideas

· Prepare actionable market color for sales and the desk (spread moves, flows, supply calendar, primary/secondary dynamics, macro drivers)

· Help improve desk tooling and automation (Excel models, templates, dashboards; Python/VBA a plus)

· Operate with strong control mindset: follow trading policies, compliance requirements, and documentation standards

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related analytical field

· 1–3 years of experience on a sell-side fixed income desk (IG corporates preferred) or closely related markets role

· Good understanding of IG corporate bond market conventions and analytics (OAS/spreads, yield curves, duration/convexity, liquidity and market microstructure)

· Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling) and comfort building repeatable desk reporting

· Familiarity with Bloomberg and common fixed income/trading workflows (runs, axes, RFQs, order tracking)

· Comfort working with large datasets; Python and/or VBA preferred

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive environment

· Clear communication skills and strong collaboration with traders, sales, operations, risk, and compliance

· FINRA licensing (Series 7 and Series 63) required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe

 

 

Hiring Salary Range $100,000-$150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)   Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.  This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
