Job purpose:

 

We are looking to hire a Cocoa Trader who will be responsible for the trading and procurement of cocoa beans within the US market. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the US cocoa operation, including trading, procurement, logistics, and operational supervision.
  • Perform the physical trade of cocoa beans, driving internal origin flows and market presence across the US.
  • Take ownership of bean trade positions, including market, basis, structure, arbitrage, and FX exposure.
  • Collaborate with the financing team to optimise financial processes and reduce stock carrying costs.
  • Liaise with leadership teams on P&L analysis, annual budgets, and exchange-related activities while representing the business with customers, institutions, and industry events.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

 

  • Extensive trading experience within cocoa and deep knowledge of the US market.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering positive P&L results in commodity trading.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make commercial decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational capabilities.
