Responsibilities

Position Purpose:  An exciting opportunity to join a growing physical trading firm and help build a next generation commodity trading and finance business. Our business approaches commodity trading differently: enabling producers and consumers with better data, insights, and tools; all through a unique platform and value proposition.  We are a physical commodities trader operating across the globe and across a wide range of commodities and currencies – from Coffee to Corn to Cocoa – but are approaching the industry in a different way: focused on delivering value for clients through a best-in-class platform (People, Processes and Technology).

 

The position will be a key member of the StoneX Commodity Solutions LLC Portfolio Management Team (the “SCS PM Team”). The SCS PM Team is responsible for the onboarding and underwriting of all customers of the business as well as proactively monitoring and mitigating credit risks across the customer portfolio on an ongoing basis – with a focus on counterparty-level risk as well as broader industry and portfolio-wide risks.  The SCS Onboarding Associate is responsible for onboarding, maintaining, and reviewing client accounts.

 

 

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform initial intake and review of onboarding documentation submitted by new clients
  • Work with others on the SCS Portfolio Management Team in opening, maintaining, and reviewing client accounts utilizing internal onboarding platform with various workflows
  • Coordinate and communicate with front office personnel and third-party introducers via email, phone, and in-person throughout the client account lifecycle
  • Work with platform technology teams to improve internal systems
  • Complete assigned projects in a timely manner
  • Customer and Financial Data entry and report review

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • College degree in related field (Financial, Business, Technology, etc.) preferred
  • Candidates graduating after December 2025 will not be considered.
  • 1+ year work experience in customer service, finance, banking, admin, or other business-related field preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adhere to a strict timeframe
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
  • This role offers compensation typical for entry-level financial services positions in the region.

  • Location: Kansas City, MO preferred; Omaha, NE or Des Moines, IA also possible
