Institutional: Immerse yourself in the best-in-class institutional-grade technology, working alongside industry experts and gaining exposure to various asset classes, such as equities, options, fixed income securities, and advanced trading, research, and management technology. 

Responsibilities

 

Job Purpose: The Sales & Trading Associate will support our global, multi-asset class OTC derivatives trading business by assisting our sales and trading teams. This is an early career opportunity with outstanding growth potential, where you will learn the fundamentals of complex financial products as part of a leading institutional dealer in commodities and financial products.

  • New Business Development. Help guide and support new client opportunities from the first meeting, through onboarding, and ongoing account service. This requires a high level of responsiveness, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate various groups within our organization.
  • Prospecting & Marketing. Support various initiatives to identify and source new clients, and help liaise between our management and internal marketing teams.
  • Client service delivery: A critical part of this role will be serving as the primary point of contact handling client inquiries relating to cash management, credit requests, and trading platform maintenance.
  • The Sales & Trading Associate will also support the business as needed on special projects & other growth initiatives.
  • Our expectation is that successful Associates will develop into a more formal institutional sales role within 2 years.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable track record of excellence, in any environment. We consider military experience, athletic achievement, entrepreneurship, or public service as much as we consider a strong academic background or prior work experience. We are primarily looking for evidence of a strong work ethic, exceptional people skills, and the ability to succeed in a fast paced and unpredictable work environment.
  • Strong quantitative aptitude; the ability to understand the basics of trading complicated financial instruments will be valuable
  • Proactive, self-starter who can listen, identify the task at hand, and resolve complex situations
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills; ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Competent and comfortable speaking with external clients and counterparties (corporates, banks, hedge funds, asset managers). Must be outgoing, professional, and able to interact seamlessly with diverse audiences across many regions and businesses.
