This role exists to drive the successful execution of M&A transactions by providing strategic financial analysis, project leadership, and client support throughout the deal lifecycle. It plays a critical part in enabling the firm to deliver high-impact advisory services, deepen client relationships, and identify new business opportunities in a competitive investment banking environment.

 

This role can be based in any of our US offices. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Deal Execution & Support
    • Lead day-to-day execution of M&A transactions (both buy-side and sell-side).
    • Build and oversee complex financial models (DCF, LBO, merger models, accretion/dilution).
    • Draft and review pitch materials, Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and board materials.
    • Coordinate due diligence processes across internal and external stakeholders (lawyers, accountants, consultants).
  2. Project Management
    • Manage analysts and oversee their output—ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal deal teams.
    • Help manage timelines and workflow across multiple live deals and pitches.
  3. Client Interaction
    • Support MDs in preparing for and participating in client meetings.
    • Occasionally interact directly with clients, especially during deal execution.
    • Begin developing soft client relationship-building skills.
  4. Business Development Support
    • Help prepare pitch books and support MDs in developing new business.
    • Perform industry and company research to identify potential deal opportunities.

Qualifications

 

Experience:

  • 3 years of investment banking experience.
  • Deep experience working on M&A transactions (execution, financial modeling, due diligence).
  • Proven track record of handling complex projects with minimal oversight.

Skills:

  • Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring.
  • Highly proficient in creating and reviewing transaction documents.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong time management, leadership, and organizational abilities.

Certifications:

  • Series 79 and 63 (required in the U.S. under FINRA).
  • CFA (not required, but may be seen as a plus)

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
  • MBA (not required, but may be seen as a plus).

 

Hiring Salary Range $120,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)   Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.  This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
