Business Segment Overview 

Institutional: Immerse yourself in the best-in-class institutional-grade technology, working alongside industry experts and gaining exposure to various asset classes, such as equities, options, fixed income securities, and advanced trading, research, and management technology. 

Job purpose:

Responsible for Credit research and client engagement for products including high yield and distressed bonds, leveraged loans, and post reorganization equities

Responsibilities

  • Fundamental, sector specific, credit analysis following high yield, loan only, and distressed credits
  • Generate defendable relative value credit calls
  • Educate/communicate effectively with sales force both relative value trades and firm axes
  • Effectively educate, communicate, and maintain relationships with firm clients

Qualifications

  • BA or BS
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred
  • Series 7 and 63 preferred
  • 5+ years Credit Analysis experience
  • Expertise in both high yield and distressed debt analysis including interpreting and modelling financial statements, capital structures, reading credit agreements and indentures, follow industry/sector trends and apply appropriately to analysis
  • Experience with process-driven investments (Restructuring, Insolvencies, liquidations)
  • Experience committing capital/managing risk preferred.
  • Independent thinker with the ability to hold contrarian views
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and thrive in a collegial environment
  • Curiosity for the credits they will be following
  • Self-motivated- driven individuals strongly preferred

 

 

Hiring Salary Range $150,000 - $350,000 plus a discretionary bonus directly tied to the successful generation and realization of banking fees. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)   Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.  This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
