Responsibilities

Position Purpose: As an Associate in Emerging Markets Sales, you will gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in all aspects of the Fixed Income business, from the front office to operations. You will work closely with Sales, Trading, Risk, Operations, and Onboarding teams, learning the inner workings of the market while supporting business development efforts. Over time, you will have the opportunity to take on client-facing responsibilities, building strong relationships with institutional clients and contributing to StoneX’s growth in emerging markets. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and develop a career in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Primary duties will include:

  • Gain exposure to all facets of the Emerging Markets (EM) Fixed Income business, from trade execution and settlements to risk management, financing, and operations.
  • Work closely with Sales, Trading, Operations, Risk, and Onboarding teams, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth execution of trades while building a comprehensive understanding of internal processes.
  • Assist in developing relationships with institutional clients, working alongside senior sales staff to learn how to manage and grow client portfolios.
  • Help resolve operational issues, manage settlement processes, and address risk concerns, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution.
  • Provide support in identifying trading opportunities and delivering value-added solutions to clients, with a focus on the EM Fixed Income market.
  • Assist the desk by supporting daily activities, including data analysis, trade communication, and market updates.
  • Participate in discussions with sales and trading teams to understand market movements, risks, and client needs, helping to shape trade ideas and sales strategies.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition from initial contact to fully integrated workflows within StoneX’s systems.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish; proficiency in Portuguese considered a strong asset.
  • 0-2 years of experience in finance, preferably within Fixed Income, operations, or another front-office function. Experience with Emerging Markets (EM) is a plus.
  • Must be or be willing to become an FCA Approved Person, or hold FINRA Series 7, 63, and 57 licenses.
  • Strong interest in learning about the operations and dynamics of the EM Fixed Income market, with a focus on risk, trading, and settlements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market data and operational challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of teams while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously as you grow into the role.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in daily tasks, communications, and trade execution.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with global teams across different time zones.

Hiring Salary Range $80,000 - $100,000 per annum (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)   Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.  This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
