Business Segment Overview: 

Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.

Position purpose: Assist in integration of the Right Crop acquisition and build out a meat trading business within SCS and in coordination with StoneX Financial Inc consultants. Position will prioritize expansion of physical trade of meat and animal bi-products, including booking, transport, storage and delivery capabilities of meat products. In addition, the business will leverage StoneX products and services from across the platform, including but not limited to market intelligence, execution and clearing of listed and over-the-counter derivatives offered through SFI.

Primary duties will include:

• Integrate physical commodity trade business within the meats complex for StoneX Commodity Solutions.
• • Onboarding of buyers, suppliers and logistics related vendors
  • Provide proper diligence and pricing support for meat cuts
  • Trade pricing and execution
  • Oversee logistics execution
  • Manage expenses to maximize long term profitability
• Develop understanding of StoneX financial derivatives and market intelligence products for sale and introduction to the risk management consulting team
• Work with food and pet food manufactures, meat processors, restaurants and food service companies to provide commercial assessment of procurement and sales activities, pricing, hedging and risk management execution.
• Execute and manage the purchase and sale of meat / livestock, bi-products and related logistics in support of StoneX Commodity Solutions
• Identify strategic opportunities, including but not limited to acquisitions, supply agreements, asset optimization, inventory management.
• Leverage trade relationships and industry knowledge to provide synergies across the supply chain to strengthen client relationships.
• Assist in collection of valuation data and supporting documentation for commodity inventory and forward contracts
• Assist in the monitoring and managing of daily operations, including risk limits, delivery schedules, trade documentation and trade settlement.
• Communicates with necessary departments within the company such as operations, credit, and compliance, and risk.
• Conduct meetings to discuss markets, clients, services, industry and other pertinent information.

To land this role you will need: 

• Minimum 5 years in meat trading / merchandising
• Ability to exercise good judgment in assessing opportunities and risk
• Self-starter and entrepreneurial
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills

Education / Certification Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree

Working environment: 

• 4 days per week onsite
• Ability to not only work in a team environment, but also ability to build a team
• Travel as needed
