Business Segment Overview:

Position purpose: as a member of the Precious Metals team, the employee will work with our sales and back-office teams to provide our customers the best service. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the continuing development of this highly successful multi-product business and it offers the employee the opportunity to learn about and assist with the daily Precious Metals operations within SFL, SXB, & SPM. The successful candidate will need to work in a team environment, help influence the direction of our technology & our business in general and be able to interact with other team members and teams on creating exciting solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

  • Daily & monthly reconciliations of external nostros / physical depositories
  • Assist management and FO with any Onboarding needs
  • Liaise with the Compliance, Credit Risk, Market Risk and AML on Customer Onboarding related tasks
  • Reconciliation of exchange traded futures statements from brokers
  • Oversight and periodic review of all reconciliations, controls, and SOPs
  • Problem solving and resolution of position / P&L discrepancies etc.
  • Margin Calls to Clients, intercompany & trading counterparts
  • Monitoring daily cash / metal flows and managing funding requirements
  • Processing trade settlements in currencies and physical Precious Metals
  • Internal system reconciliations
  • Follow and understand all internal procedures & comply with general principles of business.
  • Liaising with the FO / BO Precious Metals team globally
  • Assist the Logistics team in the coordination, filing, and documentation of physical shipments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers / counterparts
  • Handling of stock-ins & stock-outs within the Coin Management system
  • Ad hoc problem resolution as required
  • Process and pay invoices for the different service providers including carriers, refineries, storage facilities, etc.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

To land this role you will need: 

  • Understanding of trade flows
  • Understanding of logistics in a related field
  • Interest in finance and physical commodities a willingness to learn

What makes you stand out:

  • Knowledge of the financial markets preferable but not essential.

Working environment:

  • 4 days per week onsite
