Responsibilities

The Credit Risk role will support the Credit Risk team by performing administrative duties for a variety of Stonex clients.  Activities will include financial statement data entry, data analysis, credit scoring, customer research, securities management and project research. The individual is responsible for maintaining satisfied clients by delivering assistance and support to the staff of the Credit Risk Department.

 

  • Aggregate financial statement information from data sources and public sites.
  • Input client financial statement metrics into credit risk system in support of credit scoring analysis and ensure financials metrics are properly calibrated to the appropriate industrial classification.
  • Manage client financial statement lists to ensure accurate and timely financial information input.
  • Perform project reporting and data analysis for differing financial datasets.
  • Assesses the credit risks and financial strength of new and existing counterparties while continually monitoring appropriate industry sector developments.
  • Monitors and manages counterparty credit exposures on regular basis to ensure compliance with established credit limits.

Qualifications

  • Prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years completion of college coursework.
  • Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Risk Management majors preferred
  • Exposure to financial derivatives, commodity and financial markets, banking, or securities and fixed income
  • Exposure to credit analysis and/or financial statement analysis, preferably within the trading/capital markets or with a financial institution.
  • Highly organized, inquisitive, analytical and capable of meeting daily deadlines
  • Ability to work closely with multiple departments and brokers.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with credit risk management tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of futures/options markets
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
