Business Segment Overview - Corporate Functions

Responsibilities

Job Purpose: Responsible for the day-to-day functions within the Commissions department. 

 

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities: 

  • Data entry of all commission revenue received via ACH, wire or check
  • Pulling corresponding statements for commission revenue received
  • Prepare monthly reports for end of month meetings
  • Make entries for rebates, corrections for fees and any GL entries made by others in departments
  • Assist in payout calculation for reps, create entries, and reconcile accounts
  • Add charges to reps in system as requested by StoneX Wealth Management Admin
  • Set up and modify payout changes to brokers pay structures
  • Prepare daily reconciliations
  • Process new rep setups
  • Process advances
  • Remove ticket charges on rebated accounts in Xtiva
  • Train brokers how to use CommissionWeb (front office system to Xtiva)
  • Monitor Xtiva for termed and new reps, CommissionWeb disconnection, etc.
  • Extract and provide data as requested by reps or managers; provide information to outside vendors as needed
  • Produce Tax Apportionment schedule by client state on a quarterly basis and provide to Financial Projects Manager
  • Develop yearly payout calendar/schedule for reps
  • Back up other department members on their assigned duties
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with other departments, court/regulatory personnel, clients, etc.
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in the financial service industry, accounting, payroll, or business administration related position a plus
  • Experience with Xtiva (PureFacts), BETA, Oracle, 1099 contract labor, and/or working with large amounts of data are huge pluses
