Responsibilities

Monitor risk management of introduced broker-dealers (“IBD”), Prime Brokers and Direct Clients through programming, reporting and regulatory calculations. Market surveillance for risk monitoring of credit extended under Regulation T and FINRA 4210. Calculate hypothetical portfolios for potential impact to value at risk requirements and the collateral usage at various financial clearing and settlement facilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Daily reporting of all trade activity for the previous day
  • Prepare daily analysis of NSCC and OCC collateral requirements
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute multiple daily risk reports
  • Effectively evaluate trade failures compared to market risk
  • Calculate firm and customer concentrations
  • Monitor and escalate risk equity calls relating to portfolio margining under FINRA 4210
  • Prepare reports and documents for senior management meetings
  • Survey all market exposure to customer margins and proprietary inventory accounts
  • Create and program critical data base reports
  • Monitor intraday market fluctuations for equity deficiencies

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proficiency in Excel

Preferred: 

  • SQL programming skills
  • Risk Management experience 
  • Knowledge of the securities industry

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field
  • SIE and Series 99 required to be completed within 90 days of employment
