Responsibilities

Job Purpose and Responsibilities:

 

Job Purpose: The Credit Risk Analyst will support the Credit Risk team by performing credit reviews on a variety of customers.  Activities will include financial statement analysis and credit scoring, Market research & analysis, and securities management. Analyst will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure limits are approved and monitored.

 

Primary Duties will include:

  • Assesses the credit risks and financial strength of new and existing counterparties while continually monitoring appropriate industry sector developments.
  • Negotiates and administers the exchange of corporate guarantees, netting agreements, and Letters of Credit, used to mitigate counterparty risk.
  • Monitors and manages counterparty credit exposures on regular basis to ensure compliance with established credit limits.
  • Approves thresholds and sets limits for OTC trading activity and contract limits for futures.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
  • Negotiates financial agreements utilizing International Swap Dealers Association (ISDA).
  • Collaborates with the Risk Desk on collections of bad debt resolution.
  • Provides monthly credit reporting to Risk Management Committee.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory practices and corporate policies.
  • Support the development and testing of credit systems, reports and processes.
  • Builds and sustains professional relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

 

Required: 

  • Up to 3 years of credit or financial analysis experience.
  • Background in credit analysis and/or financial statement analysis, preferably within the trading/capital markets or with a financial institution.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with credit risk management tools and techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of capital markets and futures/options

Preferred: 

  • FINRA professional designations (SIE, S7) is a plus.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accounting, Finance or Business Analytics preferred).

Working Environment: 

 

  • Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite, 2 days per week remote 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
