Responsibilities

Position Purpose and Responsibilities

 

Position Purpose: The Onboarding Associate operates as a resource to the independent contractors (registered representatives), Advisors, clients, and internal departments of StoneX by providing prompt, efficient, and high-quality service. Managing a company's procedures to verify customer identities during account opening, ensuring compliance with regulations by collecting, verifying, and recording necessary identifying information like name, address, date of birth, and government-issued ID. They are also responsible for Advisory account agreements for all signatures and management approvals. Responsible for imaging documents for record retention, checks for any fee issues, processes terminations and rebates.  Assist Branches with money and position movements in managed accounts and processing daily request.

 

Primary duties will include:

  • Ensures required documentation for customer identification program and new account is obtained
  • Reviews documentation and establishes new accounts for brokerage and advisory
  • Updates existing accounts as needed
  • Communicates with Registered Representatives and back-office personnel at each of our Custodians via e-mail, phone and in-person
  • Completes assigned projects in a timely manner
  • Enters data and reviews reports
  • Works on an internal onboarding platform with various workflows and custodians
  • Works with Registered Representatives to guide them on account opening procedures
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Capability to prioritize and adjust to ever changing rules and regulations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills

Preferred: 

  • 1+ year work experience in customer service, finance, banking or another business-related field is preferred

Education / Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Finance, Economics, Business Admin, etc.) is preferred

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adhere to a strict timeframe
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
