Position Purpose:

As a member of the Precious Metals team, the employee will work with our sales, back-office, other depositories teams to support our customers. The Precious Metals Vault Lead will be responsible for implementing and administering policies and procedures as well as monitoring and controlling daily operations and assisting long-term logistics and the precious metals storage facility as specified by management as well as working in conjunction with additional business units. The employee will work alongside Management to develop, maintain, and supervise a professional employee-centered culture, a safe and secure operation, a high level of service delivery, and cost effective and productive operations. This includes operational responsibility for all the precious metals vault and facility security operations as mandated by company standards and procedures, and as directed by on-site & external Senior Management.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include: 

  • Work closely with leads to ensure efficient workflow
  • Check inventory and order replenishment of supplies.
  • Manage physical counting and reconciliation on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Manage order fulfillment and CME Operations
  • Prepare and verify audits to ensure proper balancing of the vault
  • Ensure requests and deadlines are met
  • Cross train and maintain availability to perform all tasks
  • Identify areas of need / preventing possible financial loss
  • Ensuring staff is adhering to all rules and protocols set forth by the company
  • Effectively manage 5 plus employees
  • Translate operational requirements and develop procedures to bring them to life.
  • Communicate effectively in a collaborative, complex and high performing team environment.
  • Assist in determining solutions to issues
  • Participate in the entire lifecycle of the vault operations including requirements, development, quality assurance, deployment, documentation, and support.
  • Proactively continue building Operational skills personally and share ideas and best practices with team members
  • Report on Vault Operations progress and issues
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Experience in a Team lead or Manager role, including hiring and managing
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to remain flexible during times of change and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly, efficiently, and positively.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply technology.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, and proactively contribute to project and team success
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to build and maintain client relationships at all business levels

What makes you stand out:  

  • Experience in the precious metals industry preferred
  • Knowledgeable in COMEX rules is a plus

Working environment:

  • Onsite 5 Days a week
  • May be needed afterhours and on weekends from time to time. 

Hiring Salary Range $120000-$150000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)   Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.  This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
