Business Segment Overview

With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more. The Trade Associate role is responsible for trade related issues, market report translation, account opening process and customer interactions. The ideal candidate is fluent in verbal and written communication skills to assist and support the staff of the department in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Daily customer interaction regarding order placement, execution, and fills
  • Assists with answering phones, filling order tickets, checking daily trades and afternoon prelims
  • Filing duties
  • Maintains a satisfied level of customer service with clients both internal and external
  • Handles client requests through responsiveness, follow-up, and escalation to a more senior team member if necessary
  • Works proactively with other team members
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Qualifications

  • Accounting, Agribusiness, Business, Economics, or Finance majors preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with a variety of people comfortably and pleasantly
  • Strong customer skills
  • Ability to correctly make decisions involving client issues/problems including when to escalate the problem to a more senior consultant
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
  • Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Certification for Series 3 license may be obtained with this role
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
