Job Purpose and Responsibilities

The US Treasuries business at StoneX provides a range of services around the globe to institutional clients including large asset managers, hedge funds, regional and money center banks, credit funds, pensions, and insurance companies. Our primary services include liquidity provision, market analysis, exchange market information, and offer trade ideas. We have trading centers in New York, London, and Singapore and deal in each of US Treasury Notes, Bonds, Bills, STRIPS, and Inflation Protected Securites. An intern in the group can expect to:

• Research and report on interest rate trends and the economic data, key market events, and market conditions contributing to those movements.
• Analyze return characteristics of various Treasury products over different holding periods, including pair trades, under varying market conditions.
• Collate client flows in search of investor class patterns and impact on different Treasury curve points.
• Help analyze various inventory risk metrics including inventory VaR, on-the-run / off-the-run exposure, and inflation risk.
• Study auction results and allotment data for potential opportunities to participate in US Treasury auctions.
• Perform technical analysis of price charts on both benchmark bonds and curve pairs.
• Perform market studies that could include an analysis of marketplace liquidity conditions (e.g. bid-ask spreads, volumes, price volatility, etc.), or a study of monetary policy decisions’ impact on the Treasury curve, or other cross-market comparisons to European government bonds.

Early Careers Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating between December 2025 and August 2026 (entering penultimate year of university)
• Available for a June 2025 start date for an 8 – 10-week program
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel)
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer

Working environment:

• 5 days in-office
• Travel requirements (if applicable)

Hiring Hourly Rate Range $24 - $40 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data).
