Position Purpose:

 

The Business Analysis will work closely with business leads and Operations team members, project teams and technical staff to elicit and document business requirements, as well as develop and be responsible for project success criteria. The Business Analyst will need to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team
environment, and have strong problem-solving skills with a drive to understand and ask how things work. The goal will be to assist in delivering valuable solutions which meet customer needs. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, collaborative, and focuses on delivering value in everything we do.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include: 

 

Prioritize issues, tasks, and projects daily, for both the analyst and the team
• Including assessing risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands
• Identify and communicate to product/project stakeholders
• Partner with operations staff to understand and/or create the vision and business value for the domain/project
• Elicit and compose business requirements from stakeholders for development team
• Manage business requirements throughout the product/project life cycle and in some cases manage small projects
• Assist in managing communication to stakeholders to solidify needs, identify risks and dependencies, and provide education on enhancements in a timely manner
• Identify and resolve and/or escalate roadblocks, issues, and conflicts in a timely fashion
• Creates business process maps and workflow designs
• Ability to analyze and map data
• Facilitate effective meetings
• Practice continuous improvement independently and with project and product teams
• Uses and implement industry standards as it fits the needs of Stonex
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

• 5+ years direct work experience in a business analysis, business process and requirement elicitation, documentation, support, or testing capacity

• Must be adept at conducting research into project related items, issues and products
• Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under time constraints as necessary

• Able to work with a minimum of supervision
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Ability to remain flexible during times of change and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly, efficiently and positively
• Ability to work with co-located teams
• Excellent verbal, written and relationship skills used to interact with a global group of technical and non-technical people
• Strong data extraction and manipulation skills. Experience with data mapping and using SQL
• Proven ability to build effective and successful relationships within and outside the organization
• Ability to lead projects when needed
• Strong customer service and orientation in execution
• Attention to detail is a must
• Experience working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
• Exercise good judgment in high stress situations
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer

 

What makes you stand out:  

• Industry experience in financial services trading firm is preferred

• Knowledge of futures industry operations is beneficial
• JIRA experience preferred

 

Education / Certification Requirements: 

• 4-Year College Degree
